Will a Green Mt barrel for a 77\22mag fit on a lever action 22 mag?

Green Mountian sells a smoothbore 22 mag barrel for the 77\22 mag. My question is this, can I put this barrel on the Ruger lever action 22 mag? I think it is the 96. I have always wanted a 22 smoothbore repeater to keep the rats out of the horse feed and this might be an easy one to put together. I guess the bolt gun would work but I would prefer a lever. What I really want is a pump. Shotgunner

It will, but I think you need an adapter.  Check over on Rimfirecentral, there's a guy named Skeeter that has them.

i would just call green mountain and ask there service dept. they will tell you .
