Rainier plated 44 bullets
« on: March 19, 2007, 03:16:34 PM »
Well ibought 200 of the Rainier plateed hollow points for my 44 magnum. They shot very well over 10,0 grains of Universal clays but could not be persuaded to expand in very hard clay. Ten grains of Universal clays also seemed a bit warm in my model 29 as far as flattened primers go but no sign of sticky extraction was noticed. Nothing bad to say really.

I`ve used them in .44 mag. for plinking but never checked to see about expantion with them. They do shoot very well for the price. They also sell the plated bullets in .50 cal. and they shoot good also and are less than 1/2 the price of anyother .50 cal. bullet. I`ve been thinking of trying them on deer. I figure that with a .50 cal. bullet they won`t need to expand.  ;D
