Hi all,
I am in a local marksmanship club that has 25 yard indoor matches with stock .22 rifles. Per the rules you have 2 minutes to shoot a NRA B-2 target and you get two targets per match. Use the target with the score and the for tie breakers.
Anyway I was using a vintage Win 69a with Lyman peep sight. For what it is that old rifle is really accurate and I have been doing well with it. The time limit is a bit short for a bolt action but can be done. I have been wanting to try a semi auto but having older eyes I like Peep sights and very few semi autos were/are made with peep sights it seems.
A couple of weeks ago I was at local military gun show and someone had an H and R Leatherneck 165 for sale. It was a little pricey but for its age appeared to be in decent shape. It has a nice factory mounted Redfield peep sight on the receiver.
It was in need of cleaning bad so last night I took it mostly apart and cleaned it. There is a screw on the back side of the trigger mechanism which I thought held the trigger mechanism to the receiver but turns out it is an adjustment screw for trigger rotation adjustment which is tied into the guns bolt mechanism.
Before I go to the range I would like to find out how to properly adjust the trigger mechanism using this screw.
I have tried but so far cannot find a manual or take down guide for this rifle.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill T.
