Is the Springfield 03 action long enough for the .375 H&H or Win. .458 mag? Are they strong enough for these calibers?

I've heard of Springfields being opened up to feed 375H&H, but I don't know if I would.  You would have to know what serial number range your receiver was from.  I think the 458 win mag will work...
