Since there is not a search right now I apologize in advance if this has been asked answered before. I understand the concept of taking a donor barrel and cutting it off  and boring and inserting another barrel. My question is how is it held in place in the stub soft soldered, hard soldered, brazed, threaded, press and pinned, shrunk fit ?I have the tools to do all the above. Also what stubs can you use sb2 only on rifles and either on shotguns.

All the barrels, and thus the stubs, fit all the frames (except the 10 Gauge) so just find a donor and have at it.  I am using the SB1 frame for the 30 Carbine, I did the pressure calculations and the 30 Carbine will produce about a thousand pounds less frame pressure than a 12 Gauge will, so I feel safe I think.  If I post the range results tomorrow you will know I did not blow my self up.  If I don't post tomorrow you may want to do your own calculations.   Larry

I am old but not stupid, I will cover it with sand bags, stand way back and fire it at arms length, I do it that way with every rifle I fire for the first time, you should too.  Larry

Thanks for the info folks I read the 30 carbine with great interest and I happen to have a 410 barrel to use.
