Walnuts
« on: August 24, 2007, 08:03:18 AM »
I guess it is pretty much the same statewide due to that cold snap we had in the spring but the walnuts in our area are pretty much non-existent.  What a bummer.  Me and the kids usually pick up a few truckloads every fall for a little extra cash and to spend some quality time together.  Bet the prices are gonna be high on them this year!

The walnuts were one of the few things to escape the freeze in our area but the acorns didn't.  The way the squirrels are cutting the walnuts there won't be many for long.  Last year they wouldn't even mess with the walnuts as there were so many acorns.
