I finally found it!

I finally found the right combination for my Handi .223. 26.1 grains of varget and a 55grain sierra spitzer. Two 3 shot groups of 3/8 inch at 100 yards. I'm a happy old man. Now I can settle down to some serious turkey scouting.

Mine also likes the 55gr bullets over IMR4895 as a powder and good luck with those silly birds .  ;D  ;)
