U= 2004, that's the first year they started making barrels with extractors, but only in new calibers as far as I know. My 2004 204 has an extractor, but that's when it was first introduced. You can easily check it, with the barrel open, an extractor can't be pushed in, an ejector can be pushed in against the spring, and it also will snap out as the barrel reaches the full open position, the extractor will come out slowly.
As was said before, since you were talking Rossis with the Gander guy, he was referring to their non existent barrel program. I just talked to H&R CS yesterday to add another barrel to my order, she said nothing about the barrel program.
