Need Info for Loads for 30/30 using Win 748

Hi. I am not new to the reloading game having loaded pistol cartridges and 45/70 cartridges but I have never loaded bottle neck cartridges before. I bought some Win 748 reccomended by a friend of mine who works at the gun shop and the Hornady book said it gave the best results in their test rifle which I know might not in mine but ya gotta start somewhere!! So the powder is Win 748 the primers CCI the bullets are Remington 150 grain RN. The brass is mixed (WIN,REM or REM Peters, and Federal)  So do I have to make up different loads for each maker of brass? Also some of the headstamps are marked Imperial on a few who made them?? Any good recipes using WIN 748 for the 30/30 Jim

I recall a load using 748-but it was for 170gr Silvertips:Winchester brass, Winchester primer,170gr Silvertip,32.0gr of 748.
This may be a maximum load,one needs to start below it and work up.
Supposedly it duplicated the factory load.
CIL[brass] was a Canadian outfit[Imperial??].I don't know if they're still in business.

Two corrections:Imperial was part of CIL[Canadian],I don't think they're still in business.Using different brands of brass,you need to start at conservative/starting loads and slowly go up.The capacity of the cases and their hardness/durability varies amon brands.The load I noted before is a maximum one-and specific for Winchester brass.It also is a rifle load, not one for the Contender.

I normally do not ever use a full tilt load usually pick some thing in the middle and start from there. I am loading for a Win 94. Jim
