First season huntin

Went for the first time and I love it. I just bought a turkey gun. Side by side Tristar Gentry, selective trigger, 3 in. chamber. I don't figger I'll get more than 1 shot at a turkey, so I went with a double. Any opinions?

I'm not familiar with the brand, but throw a few rounds on a turkey-head-sized target and see how it patterns.  Ought to do just fine.  I use an old (1939) Stevens single shot 12 ga with 30" full choke.  Just call 'em in close, aim for the outstretched head, and baste occasionally 'till done....

Welcome on board.

Like I said in a previous thread, the few times I've gotten a second shot, it's been a waste of time so a double should be plenty.
