.308 and Barnes 130gr TSX BT?
« on: May 17, 2007, 11:55:21 AM »
Anyone loaded a Barnes 130gr TSX BT in .308?  Barnes shows 3160 with 52grs varget.  3221 51grs AA2460.  If so how were the groups and performance. If it would be stable would be great for deer I would think.

Worked up a load yesterday using 130gr barnes tsx with rem case, LP primer rem, 50grs of varget.  Shot 3 three shot groups after settling on this load had .625, .721 and .703 at 80yds. Using there specs should put velocity around 3100.  Really flattens the flight for the .308 puts it right with .270.  Should be a great round for deer.
