I carry a Glock 32 in .357Sig(same size as a Model 19). I chose it for reliability, power, accuracy, in that order. I dearly love my 1911's but they're just too heavy, and large, for all day carry. When it's really hot/muggy I carry a Kel-Tec P-3AT in a pocket holster(I'm talking jogging shorts and a t-shirt).

I have a Glock 36 in my carry rotation, but carry 1911s and Kel Tecs the majority of the time.

Put me down for the M36.  I only added the BIG DOt nightsite and a the shallow "V" regular rearsight.  Its my off duty piece that I pick up when the SIG 2340 goes in the drawer.  Im satisfied that 6 rnds plus a spare is more than enough lead to hold out till the cavalry comes, if not it'll make a heck of a good last stand....

Glock 19
Main reason is that I have had it since Glock started making them and I shoot it quite well.
I am to the age now that I try to avoid anywhere that is known to be rough. 45 rounds (2 mags is normal for me) of 147 grain 9mm should allow me to back out of most situations gracefully.
If I am going into a rough area my 1911 takes the Primary role. I trust it over anything else I have ever carried and it has served me well in all instances of use.

Thats strange Savage, I havent seen you carry that Mdl 36 since about 6 months after I sold it to you.  As I recall, Mrs. Savage pretty much took it away from you......

Glock model 30.

Because I still believe in the .45

I wish I had purchased the model 36 when I was in the market, because it would be a little lighter and more concealable, but I haven't had a problem with this one since I bought it, so in the holster it goes.

Like Edelweiss, I would feel comfortable with the 6+1 rounds of the 36 just as much as the 10 in the 30.  If I ever have to use their services, chances are everything will be over in the first three shots anyway.

Edit:
By my name, I work as a surveyor, as opposed to the off duty gents posting before me (although I did work in LE in my younger days).
I chose the Glock because I get dirty, with leaves, twigs etc getting into my gear, as well as fording a few streams and such.  When I come across someone defending their patch of Columbian, I have confidence that "Beechnut*" will hold up its end of the log.

*Yes, I named my 45 "Beechnut"

I carry  either a Glock 22 and/or a Glock 27.  They are reliable, accurate, and user friendly but the main reason I carry it is because that is what my agency says I have to carry.  Sometimes policy makes these decisions easy even if it is not what you would choose.  The flip side of it is I don't have to worry about the various CCW laws, if it is in the United States or its territories I am covered.

My Glock 27 is a constant companion. I have fired thousands of different rounds through it without a malfunction. It is compact, easy to conceal and powerful enough for it's size. Certainly more firepower than any snub-nosed revolver. For winter/car gun, I carry a Glock 17 9mm with a spare mag for the same reasons.  Also, Glocks are notoriously reliable, light, and very easy to maintain. They can stand up well to sweat, water, dirt, etc. I don't think that you can go wrong with any of the Glock models, just find one that fits your size and hands, in an appropriate caliber, and you are all set. Just my 2 cents!

I carry the 21 because I like the nice big .45 caliber holes it makes, and Glock is the most reliable semi-automatic ever made.

The Glock 19 is dependable,  light,  accurate, high capacity,  totally capable when loaded with 115 JHP +P+   After decades of research I consider it the IDEAL CONCEALED CARRY GUN.

Put a Glock 19 or 23 in a holster from JSHolsters and you can carry it all day in total comfort.

With 15 rounds I don't feel the need for an extra magazine, instead I carry a Surefire 65 lumen flashlight on the weakhand side of my belt.   JSHolsters also makes a great flashlight carrier.   Check their web site.

I have a 9 mm XD for a house gun and was using a Smith 342 PD for carry. The Smith weighs 11 oz empty and comes with 5 for sure. Accuracy with this little pop gun is terrible, it's a miserable shooter and I have been looking to improve for  a while. After a lot of angst, I checked glock.com and discovered that the 36 weighs 27 oz loaded with 7 round of 45 and I bought one. My impression so far is that it's concealable, carryable, shootable, reliable, effective. I never felt that the 45 was a conceal/carry round; but, this works. Just the opinion of a guy who gave up a Smith 342PD.

I carry a Glock 35 99% of the time. I picked up a Glock 19 last week, and I'll use it for Concealed Carry and the G35 for Open Carry.

Glock 27 with a reshaped grip and a trigger job.  I'm saving up for a Kel Tec PF-9 because I think the Glock is a little too big for some situations, like running or Michigan's muggy summer weather.

The flash made the slide look white, it is as black as the others.

It is blue from the factory, that is because it is a simunitions gun. Fires the 9mmFX cartridge, and is blue to denote it as a training weapon.

G19 most of the time. As it has already been said, it's light, comfortable to carry for along time, two mags will give you 30 rounds, and Glock is one of the best small arm weapons made today.
Nothing is foolproof so I believe it's a good idea to carry an extra magazine in case you have a mag failure or something of the kind. That has never happened to me with any of the Glocks I have but it has happened with other guns I've owned and in a mag holder on the belt I hardly know the extra mag is there.
