200 yard Omega group
« on: April 19, 2007, 02:52:56 PM »
I shot my Omega today with a new load of three 777 pellets and a 250 grain Shockwave... at 100 yards it was just one ragged hole on a three shot group in the neighborhood of a 1/2 inch. I set the scope 2 1/2 inches high at 100 and shot a three shot group at 200. The group size at that distance was 4 1/4 inches and the three shot group averaged 4 inches low. There was a slight wind blowing but nothing out of ordinary hunting conditions... just thought I would share my results with you guys. God bless!! ;D

Mighty Fine Shooting FLINTHEAD!!!  Charts are fine, but there's nothing like KNOWING how your load behaves at various ranges.

That's some good groups Flinthead. I hope I can get my Savage shooting like that.

that's good shooting. I've been shooting 2 777 295 powerbelt out of my Omega and at 100 yards I've been getting 2 inch groups. I found the Omega shot better with 295 grain loads and up. Seems anything less wandered all over the paper

if a 295g PB shoots good, go up a level and try the 338 powerbelt.
