Well All

I got my gun back today from the accessory program

I had a 357 barrel and a 30-30 barrel fitted to my gun

The 357 is beautiful

The end of my 30-30 barrel looks like it has holster wear on the muzzle

This is a brand new barrel and the end is in the white pretty near and there are light scratches like someone buffed it with fine sand paper

No sir I am not happy

I would agree that sucks. I don't think you have any other choice but to send it back. That is unless you would like to touch it up yourself.

Call CS and tell them about it, I'm sure they'll make it right........if you're willing to go through the wait again.

Be sure to send it back on their nickle. Take pictures of it before.
I'm sending the front sight off of my new BC, it looks like Stevie Wonder installed it. It is crooked and mangled.

I agree, contact em and ask them to cover return shipping and have it completely reblued, they should've done that before it left their shop.

Funny you mention a crooked front sight.  Cause one of mine looks crooked also.

This one is WAY crooked. I pointed it out at the gun shop and got a pretty good deal on it. I can post a picture of it, if I figure out how to do it. I just haven't taken the time to read the instructions.

My 357 barrel has slop in it before you put on the fore arm

The 30-30 isnt like that nor my 223.  Is this normal?

Seems like the scope holes are not perfectly straight either.

Maybe I am just being overly picky but it seems that they should have done a better job.

Also there is a slight scratch in my receiver that I dont remember putting there

Oh well I am tired maybe things will look better in the morning.

If they shoot good and NEF makes right by me I will be happy

They have always been great in the past so I dont want to sling too much mud.  Just upset is all

Kid C: Did your barrels have the dinky narrow blade front sight, attached with a tiny hex-head screw? My new .357 did, and it was too tall to boot. I removed it to file it down a bit, and when I tightened it back on, the screw stripped right out. I was sorta ticked off, but I had a 6-48 sight screw handy, so I opened and counterbored the hole in the sight, and had the local 'smith open and re-thread the hole in the barrel. Cost me five bucks and a screw from my parts box. Still, I wish the barrel had come with the sight my Huntsman ML barrel has. That has a sturdy one-piece light-gathering ramp and bead, attached with a an 8-40 screw.

NEF must be emptying out the old-parts bins. Sheesh!
