Any experience with the Cartridge adapter with a .223

I saw these on ebay.

Shoot 22 LR and 22 Mag in a .223 barrel.

Is this too good to be true?

dean, it depends entirely on YOUR barrel. I tried one of these in a .223 barrel or 2 and got so-so results. You wont win any bench matches with one,but you COULD kill a rabbit in an emergency situation. Groups were large at 75 yards, like 8-10 inches. A buddy bought it for a hunting trip to Alaska. He thought a .223 contender with one of these and a box each of .223's and .22 rf' s would take care of any small game ,edible or not, he ran into. His 10" barrel was a bit MORE accurate than my 14 and 21" barrels..

My .223 blued adapter in LR is fine for 30-40 yard rabbits, but my stainless .22 mag adapter is near useless for 20 yard hubcaps.  You never know until you try.  Best of luck.

I have the .22 mag adaptor, I bought from the guy in Alaska that makes them, and it shoots well for me.
