This is an interesting technique for taking birds late in the season. ( Sort of ) you chase them down instead of them coming to you.
The second person's technique seems akin to road hunting. IMHO.

That was kind of the technique I used this year. Turkeys would come to within 60-80 yards and hang up. If I stayed put and called they would wander off but if I moved a little and called they would follow me and eventually work in a little closer.
