What is it?
« on: April 12, 2007, 12:05:44 PM »
While at my favorite toy store today I saw a 270 handi with a muzzle brake and a checkered multi colored laminate stock set. It had an ultra scope base.

Was this a factory gun?

The price was very attractive...

A true Handi-holic would grab that one quick, in my opinion, Mara.

$250-$300 or so I think would be reasonable if it locks up good and tight, depends on whether you want to shoot it or resell it. The barrels get close to $200 on ebay!! You wouldn't want to shoot it without hearing protection while hunting, but you can remove the brake, and hunt without it. I have a little aluminum collar that I can put on mine to protect the threads, I used it last week on the 270UC cuz I had a shooter on both sides of me and didn't want to hurt them, even I can feel the blast when shooting one with the brake on. :o

I think I can get it out the door for $200....might get it and turn the barrel to keep the rest.
I did like the wood

Proabably the same reason they don't offer the 7x57 or 7x64 any more, just a change in their decision of what they think will sell good. A lot of people don't like brakes and wouldn't have one, H&R probably got some complaints on it, so dropped em. :'(
