A suggestion regarding your gps reception. Your H2O has a port for an external antenna. You can get a Gilsson antenna for around $20+a suction antenna mount for another $6+shipping. From my experience it is a good investment. I normally mount the antenna inside on a rear side window. But it is not conflict with the vehicle code in many States to mount it on the windshield. I have had good results mounting one low on the windshield just above the dash.
I believe your experience with reception parallels my experience with the Garmin 76C without an external antenna.
Security Note: The theft of gps units from locked vehicles is on the rise. Put the gps, antennas, and power cords out of sight. Hide them when you are not in the vehicle. When traveling I do not leave the gps in my vehicle when staying in a motel room at night.
What are your battery life experiences with the H2O?
