.44 cal barrel blank
« on: April 17, 2007, 07:42:47 AM »
I just wanted to let any custom handi builders know that the Sportsmans Guide has .44 cal H&R barrel blanks for sale. They are 13/16" dia., 23.5" long, and are 12 groove un-chambered for $59.97. I don't know if this is a good price or not, but sounded like something different.

Thanks, that's been posted before, but I don't know if anyone ever actually bought one. With H&R offering .444 Marlin barrels again and their 44Mag barrels apparently are in spec from the latest range reports, I don't think anyone wants one.

Tim, does that mean the 44 mag bbls are 1-20 twist, like the 444 marlin?

I thought about getting one to make a smokepole barrel but hadn't got around to it yet.
