Hey Gunnut
I asked this question on another thread and was told you'd be the one to ask about rebarreling and such. Thanks

Quick couple of questions. A shop here has a really nice 670 in 30-06,checkered monte carlo stock with a cheek rest. Mint condition don't look like its ever been in the woods. Whats this rifle worth, how accurite were they, will the barrel interchange with a Model 70,no need for an 06',thinking about switching it over to a 25-06 or 270.

The 670 was a simplified version of the M70 and uses the same barrel threads. It will configure as would any push feed M70. The way M70's of any kind are climbing in price I'd hesitate to butcher any Winchester in that condition, especially a limited run midel such as the 670, even if it was a cheaper version... I don't know just what they're worth and accuracy is not a predictable thing. That said I'd expect it to shoot very well as did most.. Any gunshop should have a copy or 2 of the gun guides and that's about as good a guess as any other. Remember value varies a lot with the local preference.
