Trapping book

I've been reading and buying a few books on trapping. Some are pretty generic in content and could have been written by the same person. I have few that are good but very short, more like pamphlets. I was surprised when I found one over 300 pages by Bernie Barringer. Would anyone recommend this as a good comprehensive text on trapping? Other recommendations are welcomed.

I carry many good trapping books--all those by Charles Dobbins--to name a few.But I do not carry anything written by Barringer.

I guess its what you want out of a book. I have all three of Slims, and they are indeed good.
but Hoofbeats- its THE definitive coyote book...in MHO, of course....trappnman
its a book that you can reread dozs of time, and get new info.....

I have a very worn, well-thumbed copy of Dobbins' land trapping book. Had it signed when he was here in Nebraska back in 70s for the national convention.
It is my land trapping bible, and I still pull it out at beginning of each season.
I have a book by Carrol Black too on water trapping.
Only other "book" I have is a 3-ring binder full of trapping articles from old FFG and Trapper/Predator caller mags. I categorized them by species (as much as possible) and there is about 10 years worth articles I liked and saved in it. That's been a great reference source for me also.

I have a big collection. My favorite's by far are those wrote by La Verne Israelson. Hard to come by, but loaded with information.
