put a trinimum front sight on my 4 inch 629 yesterday and that went well. Then i put a ron powers free spin pawl in my accusport 44 and my 4 5/8s .32 mag. What a pain in the but. It isnt hard to do but the instuctions send were the pits. They would have been fine if a guy could read them. Ive never seen print so small in my life. I had my cheaters on and a magnifying glass to read them. I couldnt have read that small of print when i was 13!!

So how does the the new pawl work?  Ready to put one in mine yet?  I would do it myself but I can't read.

steve they both took a little fitting and to be honest i would probably still be here dinking with it if it wasnt for my wonderful next door nieghbor who just happened to show up when i was doing the first one. It took me about 2 hours of fooling around to do the first one and still didnt have it right. He finished that one and did the second one in about 15 minutes.  They work great though and the nice thing is that the pawl still has full contact rather then the way i did the super which is to grind metal off the tooth of the pawl. THe odd thing i notice too with the .32 is it even locks up tighter. It has no more play in it now then my customs do when locked up. Now all it needs is a belt moutain pin and a bowen rear sight and someday id like to have clements take the warning off of it and put a good front sight on it too. The accusport 44 turned out good too and i also got the new front blade from clements with two gold bars on it. Its for a long time been my go to long range gun and the sight will make it that much better.

Lloyd, gold bars will be great on that sight!  I'll have to do something like that on the Vaquero before the TSMS shoot!  I think I'll put some fine serrations on it and mark a couple of them with paint.  Boy am I happy to hear that you can't see fine print any better than I can.  We got new computer programs for work recently that were obviously designed by someone in their early 20's because the size of the print that comes up on the screen is much smaller than I would have liked!  I've thought about the pawl, but just have not made the move yet.  Glad your's turned out well.  44 Man

im very pleased with his sight. I had a clements post on the gun before without bars and i robbed it for the super project gun. I tried to put a gold bar on it myself but typical of my work it turned out like crap. I should just buck up and buy another for that gun. I still say theres no better sight picture out there then a clements front cut to .10  and a bowen rear
