Finally got to the range after 2 months of crappy weather to sight in my new Savage 17 HMR. After trial by fire with 20 shots, ended up with a tack driver doing a .5 group @ 100 yds. Its gonna be a real fun gun. Very pleased!!! ;)

Last Fall a buddy of mine made a day trip down to PA to the Cabela's in Hamburg and the deal of the day was a Savage 17HMR, so he picked one, some ammo and headed home to do some shooting. After doing a little tinkering and playing with different brands of ammo his gun will shoot 0.5" @100 yards too. Impressive little guns for the money.

I have 2 of them, one is the bull barrel with accu-trigger, the other just regular barrel. Both have synthetic stocks.....real fun guns....1/2"... 3/4" groups.

I just picked up a 93 17R, used simons scope, just finished striping it and cleaning it, seems nice floated bull barrel, accu trigger, we shall see $225
