This little piece has nothing to do with anything, it is just my experience and my take.
This trip too the state of Kentucky was because of my niece being married in Lawreneceburg, Kentucky---and, well---being retired, we said, "let's go."
We stayed off the interstate as much as possible.
We were only there about four days.
We stayed in only two towns, Lawreneceburg and Bardstown.
It is a wonderful state.
It is a beautiful state. It really is a beautiful state.
The folks are good folks.
I enjoyed the trip and if it were not for so many flatland touristers---such as me---I am sure it would be a much better place and the folks would be a lot happier.
We were treated with kindness and respect by the lot of locals, with a seeming total tolerance to our lack of knowledge and wanderings. It was enjoyable and it made me feel as though I belonged.
I appreciated that.
If any from Kentucky read this---thank you!
The Bourbon Whiskey was goood, also.
Blessings
