Question about the NEF barrel accessory program.
« on: April 29, 2007, 04:21:07 PM »
If I send my Sportster 17 in for a .22 barrel will the replacement barrel have open sights? What I want is a heavy barrel with no sights D&T'ed for scope mount.

They don't offer a 22Lr heavy barrel, just the standard contour. You can order it without sights, but they won't reduce the cost, it already is D&Td, you'll need to order a scope rail tho.

Tim, Should I ask them to do a trigger job when I order the barrel?  Thanks

Sure, although if it's already below about 5lbs, they may charge for it, I don't know exactly what the threshold is, but I do know they have charged for trigger jobs on occasion. Won't hurt to ask em if you think it's too heavy. ;)
