I would like to ask a simple question for you guys. I have been casting for a long time with plain base bullets, but never gas check. Lets take the 45 caliber. Do you us the same 45 caliber gas check for pistol and rifle? I only see in the catalogs a listing for 45 caliber. No listing for rifle or pistol of different diameters. Thanks for you help.

Yes, one size gas check for both pistol and rifle bullets.
Nominal pistol bullets are 0.452-0.454" and nominal rifle bullets are 0.458-0.459" diameter.
So, one size gas check to accomodate a 0.007" range of sizes works fine.
