Stingers in a CZ 452..OK ?
« on: February 13, 2007, 03:54:27 PM »
I have a 452 special and am wondering if the chamber is too "Bentz" to use CCI Stingers or the Aguila hypers,( both with longer cases), in my CZ.
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

My own CZ452 is the less expensive "trainer" version with beechwood stock. It handles Stingers just fine and they are quite accurate,  as is about everything I have tried in that rifle. My only gripe with it is the bassackward safety, forward to safe and back to fire just ain't right. ;D
The story of David & Goliath only demonstrates the superiority of ballistic projectiles over hand weapons, poor old Goliath never had a chance.

The Stinger does okay in my CZ BRNO 2-E.  I believe it is a 452 also.   I've used every target ammo, foreign and domestic, that I could find, plus all the popular U.S. hunting brands including hollow point, etc.   My practice was outdoors in calm or light breeze conditions at 50, 75, and 100 yards.     To my amazement all testing showed that the Federal Lighting consistently held tighter grouping than anything I put through it.   The Stinger seems to throw a wild round occasionally.    The heavy target ammo couldn't hold at long range.    All the hunting ammo did great.    But that cheap Federal plain lead bullet just beat the pants off everything else. :o
