They were an early clone imported by EMF.  I owned one several years ago.  It was a tri color, nickled frame, brass grip frame and the rest blued.  100% floral engraved, it was beautiful but apparently copied too closely after the early Colts with oversize cylinder throats.  This gun measured .458 to .460 and would only pattern even with oversize bullets.  The barrel was .451.  I bought a .45 acp cylinder for it that had .452 throats and it shot beautifully and to point of aim.  I thought about boreing that one out for .45 colt but it shot about 8" high at 15 yds with .45 colt and would still need a taller front sight.  It just seemed too much work for the results and I sold it.  Now I wish (like so many times!) that I had kept it and put the work into it.  It had an axle spring for a main spring but that was common back in the 70's.  It was a good gun that just needed some work.  I hope you enjoy yours.  44 Man

Hi
I have one with all the engraving.  I have started bluing it and want to blacken or paint the brass black. Hoping to make a Sunday Gun sorta like John Wayne's guns in the Shootest.  But like most everything else it is for sale :D
I have enjoyed it very much  never thought about the bore and all.  Put new springs in it and replaced the front site.
It just keep on keeping on.

I just talked to a guy about a Jäger 357mag. 4 3/4" and that gun had Uberti markings on it.
He told me that Jäger was a german dealer who sold Uberti under the name Jäger.
