Handi-.307 Win.?

Has anyone ever tried this combination.
What is for all intents a Rimmed .308 should be a real keeper in a Handi.

Back when Handi's were built with ejectors I would have thought it a good idea.  It is a rimmed cartridge and those always worked better in Handis.  Now however, with rifle barrels being extractor only, a 308 is the choice since sticking cartridges are no longer an issue.  Besides, the 307 is a good as deceased as cartridges go.

     And .308 brass & dies would be cheaper to scrounge .
