Loose buttstock!
« on: April 29, 2007, 03:16:41 AM »
Took my NEW handi out yesterday for the first time. After a couple shots I noticed that when I opened the action, the buttstock seems a bit loose. Not much, but I could feel it kinda flexing. I was wondering what size nut, or bolt holds it on, and how tight  to torque it.
Thanks,
AA

Hi Dave....

The butt stock is held on with a bolt thru the stock....take the recoil pad off, I use a T handle that I made up but most just use a ratchet 10" extension and a THIN WALL 9/16 DEEP socket....I ground mine thinner since they get tight in there...T handle works nice cuzz the socket is fixed and won;t pull off on the way out...

How tight? Good and snug for sure....
