called in my first blackpowder turkey today weighed 17 1/4lbs with 9 inch beard tc new englander layed the hammer down at about 30yds 90 grains shutzen blackpowder and 90 no 6 shot 1 wonder lube patch about 1/2 inch thick i split it in 2 halves one over powder other over shot at thirty yards 20bb's in the head neck area on my turkey targets

Congratulations my man! It's a great accomplishment to take Turkey's with BP smoothbores...got my first this spring as well.
(Used a .62cal/.20ga GM Flint smooth bore drop-in barrel for a TC Hawken, one at 40yds, one at 30yds)

Congrats on that bird. I also got mine with the Pedersoli double gun. One of 3 birds this spring. One with conventional shotgun and bow as well as the BP bird.
