45/410 survivor
« on: May 07, 2007, 02:37:59 AM »
I seen a 45/410  survivor last weekend at a gunshop, and now I think I want it.  liked the survivor stock and I like the idea of 45/410 but it's a sb1 frame.   I guess I just want to know if it shoots all that well withe the changeable choke tubes.  I realize the 410 might not shoot well, also Is there a possibliity to shoot 410 slugs?  I was just thinking, havnt looked into weather 410 slugs are all rifled or not.

the .410 shoots pretty well out to about 20 or so yards mine prefers smaller shot sizes like 7.5. you can shoot .410 slugs out of it the only problem is all you have is the front bead, off hand with mine at 25 yards i put 2 that were about an inch apart but the third shot i have no idea where that went. i haven't shot .45lc out of mine but i've heard of mixed results. you can get the barrel drilled and tapped if you want to scope it. it hink they can do it at the factory don't know for how much though. it is a really fun gun to shoot though. hope this helps
