What factory ammo would  you recommend for deer hunting with this setup.

Hawghead,

I would go with 160 jacketed soft point over 16.2 grs of H110. under 30 yard shots.

The man asked for a factory ammo selection not a reload suggestion.

Federal makes a 180 grain hard cast load they call the Casts Core. It is as good as any. Otherwise select a 180 grain JSP or JHP load from any of the major ammo companies. They aren't likely to expand so pick one with as wide a meplat or flat point as possible since it might only act like a cast bullet anyway.

I have zero experience killing deer with the .357 Mag but do know folks who've successfully used both 125 and 158 JHPs to kill deer. With those I'd sure want a broadside only presentation.

Remington 158gr HPs. You want full power .357 mag loads.
