I'm glad to hear that, I am sending my super redhawk in Monday. Action job, shorten the barrel 1 1/2 inches and install a magnabrake, reinstall the front sight. I am also having them remove the safety warning off the barrel, but only if they turn it off. I am concerned that if they just gring it off it will change the harmonics and it will cool off unevenly. I'm making a set of custom grips for it and can't wait to get them on the finished gun.

I live "local" to Mag n port.  50 or so miles from them in Michigan.  Just wondering that they charged for the action job?  I have a SRH that could use a tune up myself.  What was the turn around for that if I may ask?  Thanks

I bet I've had a dozen guns touched by Mag-Na-Port.  All of their work is 1st class.

have you or anyone you know had the safety warning taken off a ruger? I am wondering how they do it.

Does that have any effect on the harmonics. I think I would rather have it machined off. I am also concerned about it cooling unevenly.
thanks for the reply

They put a hold on my credit card, I guess they're working on it now. Can't wait to check it out. I'm still working on the custom grip for it.

That's good to hear, I actually got my gun today. It looks great, can't wait to try it out. The trigger feels really good, it had no creep before I sent it in but now it is a little lighter and way smoother. I'll put up a pic once the grip is finished.

Okay grip needs one more coat but I couldn't wait. Magnaport is awesome. They said it would take 3-4 months and came in 1

Cut 1 1/2 inches off the barrel and added magnabrake.
Polished off the safety warning.
Reattached the sight further back.
Re-cut forcing cone.
Numbered cylinders.

Action job. I separated this last one because wow! It had a crisp trigger before but it is a little lighter and way smoother now.

They have been doing work for me since 1980. They put a MagNaBrake on a octagonal barrel FA 83. I am fat, dumb and very happy with all of it. They even ported an ASP for me back in the '80s.
