I currently have a Rem 700 LA (7mm RemMag) that is wearing a Bell and Carlson Sporter type stock (Left Handed) and a Leupold Vari X III 6.5 x 20AO scope. For the most part, I have limited the use of this rifle to long range hunting from shooting houses/blinds in which a prop or sand bag is available. I am contemplating a new stock for this gun, and I am looking for suggestions. I am thinking that I want a stock with a varmint style forend (flat and wide, about 2 inches) in order to further steady the high power scope I am using. I am thinking I want Laminate, but please give me your thoughts about Laminate versus Synthetic, stock styles, manufacutrers, etc. Please remember that this is a left handed rifle. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Smoky
