Author Topic: I'm gonna pop some PD's tomorrow (Read 846 times)

I finally sighted in my .223, so tomorrow I'm headed to a local ranch to help out with the over population of PD's they are having. It is still in the low 60's during the day out here so as long as the wind stays down they should be out all day.

I'm going to a ranch that is about 2000 acres and I believe unless I find a partner I'll have the whole 2000 acres all to myself. I just need to not shoot the cows, LOL. I have about 300 rounds between my FMJ and ballistic tip stuff. If I don't go through it all tomorrow I'll finish it out on Tues. when I go back with another buddy.

I'm also gonna take my Henry .22lr lever gun for some of the closer shots. Let the killing begin!

Boy I was gonna say I'd be out next week to give you a hand then I went back to look where you are at and Utah is about 1 1/2 states to far west from Illinois at $ 2.85 a gal. Kurt

1 1/2 states nothing.. it is about 3 to 4 states too far. I have family out that way and just made the trip a few weeks ago. Put close to 4000 miles on the car and a ton of driving hours. And I didn't even get to shoot anything :-( I did however see some prairie dogs and assorted other big game.
