Ladies and Gentleman i need your help, this moring 4-29-07 i got the paper and saw dicks has a special onvarmit combos so by noon i got one on layaway ($229.98). Now the ? what and how do i break this thing in, i read some thing about polishing the bore no clue, Any help would be very great full. Thanks Rich

I just love my 250 and think you will too , it for the most part shoots better than i do most days . not a bad price either .

I just cleaned mine when I got it and started shooting...............doing great so far with occasional cleaning, it's a bull barrel and shoots less than an inch.

When I tried to get this Varmint Combo from Dick's, they brought out a Rossi.  In the ad it didn't say who manufactured the gun or a model number.  I tried to tell them the ad photo looked more like a NEF than it did a Rossi.  The gun manager was very helpful and spent about a week trying to track it down.  The Rossi is what they had as the sale item, at least in 2 stores I checked here.

It was a lucky screw up then.  He was even looking to find me a .22-250 with a bull barrel not on sale and couldn't find one.  He said he found a 7.62x39 in bull barrel, I told him I would take that.  He called me back and said that he couldn't find one of them either, it was listed in his book but the distributor said he couldn't get them any more.

RWK, yes you got lucky to the tune of 70 dollars. I just bought one of the Dick's Handi in 22-250. I got them to come down cause the stock was dinged up but I still paid 285, plus the Governor. After you stated you seen it in the Sunday ads I went back and checked and ours had nothing like that on sale.

Mine seems to be working out rather well, in factory ammo it likes Winchester WB 45 Gr JHP and seems to be liking the Remington UMC 50 Gr JHP too. I am also working up hand loads which seem to be woking out really well.

I bought my 22-250 from East Coast Gun Sales, paid $268.00 plus tax & fees. It's a stainless bull barrel, synthetic stock. I thought it was a pretty good deal. No scope.
