There are 2 bills that have made it through the Tennessee house and into the Tennessee Senate that allows handgun carry permit holders to carry in Tennessee state parks as well as WMA's and national forest which is maintained by the state. Both bills, SB2143, and SB0053, look like they are soon to pass into law. There are some restrictions, but it's still great news!

Those of us who have carried a handgun while backpacking certain areas of the state in order to provide security for ourselves and our loved ones will no longer be committing a criminal act.
All interested Tennesseans need to contact their State Senators and express support for the above.
It's soon to be a proud day for Tennesseans!
