I sinned again. lol

I was given, yes given, a Winchester Mod. 94 Trapper 16" 45LC AE(pre-crossbolt safety) lastnite. 

I went out to my uncle's family and friends cook/shootout lastnite.  While we were shooting everything we brought he asked me if I wanted to try the Trapper that I've been drooling over for the last couple years.  I of course said yes. lol   I loaded up 3 rds(shootout rule, 3-6rds then next person's turn) and knocked down 3 iron plates.   As I was grinning I turned back towards the family and my uncle said "why don't you just take that home with you."  I said, "I don't have the money, you know I'm getting laid off here in the next couple weeks."   He then said, "you didn't hear me correctly, I said why don't you take it home.  Consider it an early Christmas gift."

Well, ahome she went. :D

Here's the new addition to my family.  45 Long Colt, only 1 really small mark on the wood on the port side.

It is..  Its alot of fun. :)  Only drawback is, I'm gonna have to load up a lot more 45LC. lol

The highlight of the afternoon was the 45-70 and 460Wby Mag shootout on the water jugs, soup cans and 1gal paint cans.  You wouldn't imagine what a 460Wby Mag does to a 5gal covered bucket of water or paint.  lol  It explodes, water just vapors and/or flies everywhere with parts of the bucket still hanging in the limbs of the tree 30ft above. lol

A small mark on the port side?  Would that be the larboard side or the left side?

I have one of the little trappers in 45 LC I had it for years it is one of my absolute favorites it is accurate beyond belief I have had a lot of fun with it you will really enjoy yours,

errr...  the saddle ring side.  left side..    not the ejector port side. lol

Please tell me that your not a JAR HEAD too ,  ;) , the Trapper looks like it should be a fun one to plunk steel with cast bullets .

Yeah..  I did my rightful duty after highschool.   No longer sport the jarhead cut though..  If I let my hair hang down over my face you could mistake me for Cousin It from the Addams Family.
