Reply:

Dear Concerned Student:

I am not allowed in schools.

Sincerely,

God

----------------------------------------------------------

How did this get started?...

-----------------

Let's see,

I think it started when Madeline Murray O'Hare complained

she didn't want any prayer in our schools.

And we said, OK..

------------------

Then ,

someone said you better not read the Bible in school,

the Bible that says

"thou shalt! not kill,

thou shalt not steal,

and love your neighbors as yourself,"

And we said, OK...

-----------------

Dr. Benjamin Spock said

we shouldn't spank our children

when they misbehaved

because their little personalities

would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem.

And we said,

an expert should know what he's talking about

so we won't spank them anymore..

------------------

Then someone said

teachers and principals better not

discipline our children when they misbehave.

And the school administrators said

no faculty member in this school

better touch a student when they misbehave

because we don't want any bad publicity,

and we surely don't want to be sued.

And we accepted their reasoning...

------------------

Then someone said,

let's let our daughters have abortions if they want,

and they won't even have to tell their parents.

And we said, that's a grand idea...

------------------

Then some wise school board member said,

since boys will be boys

and they're going to do it anyway,

let's give our sons all the condoms they want,

so they can have all the fun they desire,

and we won't have to tell their parents they got them at school.

And we said, that's another great idea...

------------------

Then some of our top elected officials said

it doesn't matter what we do in private as long as we do our jobs.

And we said,

it doesn't matter what anybody,

including the President,

does in private as long as we have jobs and the economy is good....

------------------

And someone else took that appreciation a step further

and published pictures of nude children

and then stepped further still by

making them available on the Internet.

And we said, everyone's entitled to free speech....

------------------

And the entertainment industry said,

let's make TV shows and movies that promote

profanity, violence and illicit sex...

And let's record music that encourages

rape, drugs, murder, suicide, and satanic themes...

And we said,

it's just entertainment

and it has no adverse effect

and nobody takes it seriously anyway,

so go right ahead.

------------------

Now we're asking ourselves

why our children have no conscience,

why they don't know right from wrong,

! and why it doesn't bother them to

kill strangers, classmates or even themselves.

------------------

Undoubtedly,

if we thought about it long and hard enough,

we could figure it out.

I'm sure it has a great deal to do with...

Sad but true.
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

At this stage of my life I am not a religious person (for many personal reasons I won't bore you with), but I went to Catholic schools as a child and truly believe I am a better person for it. That is why even though I am not religious I send my children to a Catholic school for the moral upbringing. As you all probably know well when I was young the nuns could beat the snot out of you, and your father (it should have said something about two parent families as well) would say "You probably deserved it." Which I probably did.

Where they strict? Heck yeah! Did it hurt me? Not in the least. I gained a strong respect for adults and authority figures that I think is lacking in a lot of children today. Discipline is a lot different than abuse, you don't punch a four year old in the face for drawing on the wall in crayon, but he sure deserves a smack on the rear!

I'm wandering here but I received this in an e-mail from my mother and wanted to share this with you all. I knew people on this forum would appreciate it.

GRIMJIM:  Your posts say it all.  Unfortuantely, this is the choir.  I really wish a larger audience than just ours was reading this.  Mikey.

Sum it all up and it comes down to just one thing and that is that parents haven't done the job of raising their children right.  All the other factors are moot if parents do their jobs.  That doesn't mean that some bad seeds wont' slide though, but nothing is perfect.

This has been coming along time. Our founding fathers would and most likely are rolling over in the grave as to what this great country has become.Lets face it we sure do have one great country, but she or he does need some house cleaning if you get my drift.
It really is such a shame as to what this great nation has become. When we took God out of the schools without letting prayer in schools and take the 10 commandments out of the courthouse grounds. One thing that is for sure we all had better wake -up!! For it sure it dosen't look good. One thing is certain God must get so upset  and tired with us all on planet earth and america. I sure am glad he forgives we all would be in deep if he didn't.

Our children spend far many more waking hours in front of their teachers than they do their parents.  To say that these teachers have little influence on our children is being a bit nigheve.   My daughter is only in second grade and I have already been challenged by her with the statement "but my teacher said such and such!".   It's a real challenge to try to explain that she must respect her teachers authority but that her teachers are not always right.

To much extent teachers, at all levels, are hamstrung. They are not allowed to do what they know they should do.
We ware an apathetic people. We depend on others to do what we should be doing. We take no responsibility.
I am not advocating private or parochial schools but there is good thought on them. Now, if, we could return to teachers being able too read the scriptures too children--my wife did such many years ago--things could be different. It is the measure of this society, good and bad, that we have allowed freedom to become apathy.
There is no clear answer for what we desire. We must respect the desire of those of other faiths too be heard, as we would/should for our own.
Well now, I have just built a case for Christian schools.
Blessings

God was banned from our schools and court rooms in 1963. I doubt if many of todays teachers read scriptures themselves. POWDERMAN.  :( :( :( :( :( :(
