Consensus for most accurate callibers in Handi

I know there are variables for accuracy in all guns, one to another, but from what I have read in this forum Handi's seem to be even more particular to certain calibers in the accuracy dept. 

I am about to send my frame in to get a couple of barrels and need advice.  I have a .308 bulll

I am not asking what caliber you "like" but which are most accurate. I know some of you guys have tried most of the chamber offerings and are good testers and can verify which are consistently overall from gun to gun most accurate.

add the fluted 204 and the 22" BB204s to the list...and my 280 is a shooter too.

I think you are going about this the wrong way, ask what people have the most problems with, you will find at least one that shoots well in every chambering they make. Larry

I agree with Larry.....and to that end...I've had no issues with 204, 243, 25-06 and 280....

In my stable, most accurate individual rifle has been my 25-06 Ultra. Most accurate as a group, my various 30-30s.

My 243 ultra varminter was trouble

204 22" bb and 22 hornet superlight are very good

to my knowing there has never been a bad shooting 30-06 ultra comp and 204's have a good rep too.

30-06, 17HMR.  Yea, I know the .17 is not a Handi, but it is just as accurate.

I have to agree, the 30-06 Ultracomp, 45-70 Handi and the 243 Ultra Varmint are among the best shooting H&Rs that I own. ;) And the 17hmr Sportster doesn't shoot bad at all as Rog said!!

I believe that the 280 Rem. gets the nod for most likely to perform well out of the box without tinkering and without custom hand loads.

well yes and no if you could still get them the 30-06 ultra comp would take that one no questions asked but they don't make them any more so you might be right
