I am thoroughly disgusted and dissapointed with my NEF Sportster. I like the rifle, I really do, but it just will not shoot.
The front sight base sits to the right on the barrel, and I can not find any logical reason why it does
this. I had H&R send me a new front sight, and yet it still does the same thing. I took it out today
to try out the new front sight, and it shot EXTREMELY LOW and LEFT. I have never had any rifle
of mine shoot that badly. I am not trying to put it down, this has just been my experience. I bought
the rifle for an inexpensive plinker to keep around the house. I didnt know that I would be getting
a rifle that shoots so badly that I may as well throw rocks. And I didnt want to scope it, that was
the whole point. I want the open sights, but I dont know what the base problem is. I dont know
where I can find any other front sights to fit the Sportster either. Can anyone please suggest
something that I could do? I was thinking about sending it back to H&R, but I doubt that they would
correct it, as I feel it may be the way their rifles are made. I just dont know. Any replies would be
greatly appreciated.
