H&R Ultra Varmint Fluted in .243 Win
« on: May 13, 2007, 09:37:29 AM »
Has anyone had any luck with them?  I like the way they look, kinda tactical but then not really?  Are they worth the extra money or is it just better to get the regular Ultra Varmint?
When an Army captain asked him for the direction of the line of retreat, Col Puller called his Tank Commander, gave them the Army position, and ordered: "If they start to pull back from that line, even one foot, I want you to open fire on them."
Turning to the captain, he replied "Does that answer your question?
We're here to fight."

I have heard that the 24'' bulls shoot well. ;D

thanks, I am not sure what I am going to buy.  I would like a .243 Win, but I would also like a 7mm-08!! Oh the choices!    ;D

I'm thinking maybe .243. I would like to get into some varmint hunting but would also like that round for deer as well.  I have heard from many people that Coyotes are moving in more of the coastline of NC which is where I am stationed.  So I would like the .243 for that.

.243 is good for both, you can't go wrong there!! I have two, they're both Ultra Varmints with the 24" bull barrel, one shoots 95gr or 100gr Federals, the other only seems to like 80gr Rem PSPs, so far, but it's new, only been to the range once so far, but it shoots them exceptionally well! ;)

Well if you get them both at the same time look at the money you'll save in shipping.
