Henry H002 US Survival

Anyone own or have any experience with the H002 or with the AR-7 Industries accessory packages?

I have one. Mine functions fine with any standard velocity copper coated ammunition I have tried. With plain lead bullet ammo it will jam quite regular. The Federal Bulk pack they sell at wall mart is what it seems to like best.

I also had the heavy barrel with scope mount AR-7 Industry sells. It was a good barrel and added aome much needed weight to the rifle for off hand shooting. The barrel didnt go with my intended use which was to have the rifle broken down and in a pack in case it's needed so I sold it off.

I think the rifle as is with the factory barrel and sights is plenty accurate to pick off small game at 50 yards.

A lot of folks bash this little rifle and mine is finicky about ammo, but with the right ammo mine has functioned fine.

I've had my H002 since June and have only used Winchester 555 plated so far, it fires fine and was accurate out of box.  I've read that Henry stiffened the eject to prevent use of sub-sonic ammo and as a result it is a tad finicky over what fires/works.  I was wondering how the pistol grip would handle on such a light rifle, and about AR-7 Industries parts quality / fit...thanks for the reply.

I bought a used one that didn't work quite right so I wrote Henry & said I wanted to buy some parts.  They said just send the rifle in and we'll fix it free.   They didn't fix it.  They just sent a new one (NC) instead.  It works fine.

That inspired me to buy a golden boy and a std. .22 lever gun.   They're GRRRREAATT!
