Quick, keep us up to date.  I have seriously considered having my 24" 223 bull rechambered to the 6.5 swede.  I have a 6.5 swede military that has been modified and it is the sweetest shooting rifle in my cabinet.  I think you will find that the swede will out perform the 260 and with less pressure.  Not knocking the 260, but my personal belief is that the swede is better suited to the H&R.  Also, right choice on the brass.  My accuracy improved when I finally got around to ordering the Lapua brass.

Got the Shilen blank a few days ago, so I packaged a frame, the remaining stub of the 300WSM barrel and the blank with forend stud, sent it off to Wayne to put it all together as a 6.5x55, the count down begins again!!

I switched horses on bullets too, I decide since I'm using Lapua brass, I might as well use Lapua bullets, ordered a box of 139gr Silver Scenar bullets, they have a proprietary moly coating on them, they aren't a dull black color like normal moly bullets, they're shiny black, look really cool, hope they shoot as good as they look!! :D

I sent a dummy cartridge along with the parts so Wayne can cut the throat to just the right depth for a COL of 3.150".
