Brass problem

I had never tried to neck brass down before this weekend.  I tried to neck down 270 brass down to 25.06.  I have Hornady dies.  My brass will not chamber in my 25.06.  I left the die set where I had been resizing my regular 25.06 brass.  Will need to reset my dies to neck down the 270 brass correctly?  Can one of you offer some suggestions.  Thanks in advance.

For your first go, you need to set your die so you are fully full-length resizing your brass.  Make sure you are getting a good "cam over" feel when you run your ram to the top of the stroke without a case.

beemanbeme is right full length re-size then check case length , i have to trim mine when i neck down 30-06 or 270 . to 25-06 .
I know , why worry with necking down brass , cause friends just throw it away and it kills me to see once fired brass go to the dump !

You may be better off saving that 30-06 brass and then trading for 25-06!

Like shootall said, All my friends just throw away their brass.  I do not shoot 270 or 30.06. I will try it adjusting my full length sizer down some more.  Thanks for your input.

PA_JOE , What is going on with brass ? I have been told everything from only one mine is operating to the war is the cause for limited supply and high cost !
A while back new ammo was so cheap ( a relative term ) reloading was not the bargain it had been now it would be if powder , primers , bullets and brass could be found , one store said primers were in short supply because only one lead mine was open due to safty or environmental reasons ! they said a small amount of lead is in each primer , Now that might or may not be true , but i saw the letter from PRESIDENT REGAN to DUPONT that allowed them to make R- 12 after they were suppose to stop as long as it was used for govt. or military purpose . NO i ain't speical it was framed and on the wall of the plant we were working in ! so to say that a plant couldn't run at time of war smells funny !
