G3 vs G1-2
« on: August 20, 2007, 01:01:24 PM »
My ultimate goal right now is to acquire a 4" Glock in 357Sig and 9Luger (32?) for home defense and casual shooting. I was curious what the G3 would do for me Vs the previous models. Also any input or recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks

Come on now Savorino! Owning a Glock can't be anyone's ultimate goal, unless he lives in the UK!! ::)
But,----------if you really mean it, you could get the mdl 22 along with a .357 Sig and 9mm barrel, and some magazines for the 9mm and have a three caliber Glock.

LOL...Ya I mean ultimately where I want to end up pistol wise. Bought a S & W 59 to serve the purpose now but want to trade up. I had the Trinity you mention with a Kel-Tec P11 and P40 along with a 357Sig barrel. I felt the Gun was to big to carry (so I got a KT P3AT) and too small to shoot for fun and for home protection. Went to Cabela's and tried on the XP, MP, Sig, Glocks. So I kind of decided to get a 4" Glock in 357Sig and get a 9mm barrel for fun shooting. The 40SW is a very good caliber, but I liked the 357Sig in my KT and don't see a need for both the 40 and 357. Would not turn down a good deal on a 40SW barrel or package though!

Okay Sav, fair enough. The Glocks do make good range guns, and you'd be hard pressed to find a more carryable pistol than the P-3AT! Good shooting!
