info on an 4 digit s/n. .357 flat top ruger

I just picked up a real nice  .357 flat top. Can some one give me a value of this gun (not for sale , just curious) and mabey a sight where i can look up some history and info? thanks Greg :grin:

For approximate date of manufacture, visit the Ruger website at: www.Ruger.com  For approximate value, I'd check with either flatgate or weaselmeatgravy on the Rugerforum site. I'm sure they'd try to help you out. RKBA!

Ruger .357 Magnums with a 4 digit serial number were only made in 1956 and 1957.

Beyond that, it depends on condition.

hI LLOYD
 Bought a 41 mag 4 dig number from a estate sale
in Anchorage for 225. wth the box and a holster looks new this spring.
I had one of these before and it dropped in a river
years ago on a bear hunt mishape.Sure was lucky to get this one
but i think i will not tote it since i have so many more know days sure do like the feel of these older guns though.
