Nikon Buckmaster scope

Has anyone had any experience with the Nikon Buckmaster 6-18x40mm Side Focus scope. This would be a coyote,PD and squirrel scope. Any comments. $300 is about my limit for a scope.

I have extensive experience with Nikon scopes, including the Pre-Monarchs, Monarchs, and Buckmasters.

I don't specifically recall using the 6x-18x with the side focus, but all Buckmasters scopes that I have used are excellent and a super great value.   I highly recommend them.

I have that scope on my 223 and the only regret I have is not opting for the fine crosshair with target dot. The Nikoplex reticule is plenty fine enough for hunting. You'll love the side focus after using an AO. Glass is very clear and I also like the rear fast focus. Be sure to check SWFA's sample list, picked mine up for under $250 last fall.

 I've had one of the new 92% light transmission scopes for a month now. Before I mounted it I compared it to a Leupold VX-III 6.5-20 (98%), at dusk there is a noticable difference in clarity. Since I'm only punching paper the low light periods don't matter, and it is doing an excellent job.
 This new Buckmaster doesn't have that "totally flat" image of the older Monarch, so that's good.
