From what I recollect, the 1:14" twist does best with 50gr-60gr bullets in the 22-250, mine likes the 50gr Vmax and H4895, but I haven't shot but only 3 loads in it, 45gr Rem factory ammo was a bust as was BL-C2, for me anyway.

My 22-250 has a 1:14.75 twist rate and will not stabilize the 55 gr. Nosler Ballistic tip bullet below 10 degrees C. I use the Nosler 50 gr BT with excellent results on ground hogs. Anything heavier or longer will be marginally stable.
